Sülüklü Han Claimed

This is a single-storey Ottoman inn with a square plan. It has porticoes, arches, rooms and also three basements with independent entrances. The cellar below is famous for its aged Assyrian wine. Its courtyard is famous for its Turkish coffee and melengic coffee with milk, which are famous all over Turkey.

Sülüklü Inn took its name from the leeches extracted from the well in the courtyard for therapeutic purposes. The ground floor of the inn, which was once a three-storey building with eighteen rooms on each floor, was used as a stable, but today the inn is a single-storey building.

The annual plane tree inside and the leech wells that come from its name also offer breezes of history.

It got this name because of the well in its garden. According to the story, leeches lived in the well in the garden of the inn. Physicians of the period were healing patients with these leeches.  That's why the inn started to be called leeches. A place that historical inn lovers will love
