This history museum hosts exhibitions of the Anatolian Middle Ages and Seljuk Civilization.

Gevher Nesibe Hospital and Gıyasiye Madrasa, also known as the “Double Madrasa”, were built by Seljuk rulers II. It was built in 1205-1206 by his brother Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev I, upon the will of Kılıçarslan’s daughter, Gevher Nesibe Sultan. Drawing attention with its simple architecture, the social complex is one of the most important structures of Anatolian architectural history that has survived to the present day.

5.0/ 5

When I visited it years ago, it was a simpler and empty museum. While it was mostly a museum about a hospital, it has now been turned into a museum about the Seljuk civilization. Although the number of works inside is small, it is a more thematic and beautiful museum. Especially the mental hospital section is quite interesting. It is explained how mental illnesses are treated with music and the sound of water. The museum belongs to the municipality, so MuseumCard is not valid. The price is already quite affordable, full ticket is 15 TL, student ticket is 10 TL. A museum that should definitely be visited together with the archaeological museum.
