In the museum, where donations continue after its establishment, the chronological history, geography, struggle for independence, tourism riches, natural beauties, folkloric values and tarhana of Uşak, known as the city of firsts, are explained with numerous documents, animations, visual presentations and models. The museum is considered as a chronology and text-oriented city museum that supports the chronological history narrative with objects, documents, videos and static animations, and organizes thematic history exhibitions within the framework of certain groupings, and constructs them together with various texts. The museum serves as a bridge in carrying the city’s past to the future and plays an important role in helping visitors get to know the city.
The museum is built on a total area of 1625 square meters, including its open spaces, and the museum building is 992 square meters. The building that hosts the museum is a historical power plant where electricity used in street lighting was produced and distributed, a first in Turkey and Uşak.

The section about carpets was very beautiful. It is a pity that Uşak Carpets, which have a place in many paintings in Europe and are a product of intense trade, do not see the same value today. When I went, I could only visit the main part, it consists of 2 floors. Actually, there were many rooms in the building, but they were closed due to the exhibition. The people who supported and donated to its creation have accomplished a truly successful work.
