Historical sailing ships, cannons and other heavy weapons are exhibited in this museum, which has indoor and outdoor areas.
It is the command responsible for the exhibition and protection of the works and historical items located around and inside the Çimenlik Castle in Çanakkale.

The museum is open to all visitors during Museums Week (18-24 May), to teachers during Teachers’ Week (18-24 November), to all children during 23 April Children’s Festival week (16-26 April), to all visitors during Tourism Week (15-22 April). It is free for teachers and students, and for all visitors on 30 August, 29 October, 10 November, 18 March, 4 April, 1 July and 27 September.
In addition, UNESCO, ICOM, ICOMS, Council of Europe and yellow press card holders can also enter the museum free of charge.
Çanakkale Maritime Museum is open every day between 09.00-12.00/17.00, except Mondays and Thursdays.
Çanakkale Naval Museum aims to present the valuable works of art to visitors in the museum exhibition areas created in the light of contemporary museology science, and aims especially for young people and children to visit the museum with the method of learning through fun.
