Caucasian Front War History Museum is an interactive museum that contains historical documents about the wars fought on the Caucasian Front and portrays sections from the daily lives of soldiers under the war conditions of that day.
The building, known as the Bloody Bastion, which has survived to the present day while preserving its architectural features, was opened as the Caucasian Front War History Museum after the restoration work.
After the Treaty of Karlowitz signed by the Ottoman Empire in 1677, there was a need to create new defense systems on the eastern borders of the state. For this purpose, starting from 1734, military structures called bastions began to be created to defend the city of Kars against the Russians from the east and Iran from the south.
In the garden of the museum, the White Wagon, which was gifted to the 15th Corps Commander Kazım Karabekir Pasha by the Russian delegation that came to Kars for the 1921 Kars Treaty and which the Pasha used as his private wagon during his travels between Kars and Erzurum for two years, is also exhibited.
