Bayburt Clock Tower is a clock tower located in the central district of Bayburt province. The tower, whose clocks were activated on October 29, 1924, was built inspired by the clock towers seen by the people of Bayburt fighting in different regions during the War of Independence, and is similar to the Çorum Clock Tower in terms of architectural style. Rising on a circular base, the body of the tower is octagonal and its pavilion is square.

Its construction was started by Muhittin Usta from Taburköy and completed by İbrahim Usta from Rize. 4 clocks and machinery parts attached to the tower were brought from Germany. The height of the tower from the ground is 21 meters, and its balcony is accessed via a 41-step staircase.

The construction of the clock tower in the city square started on October 30, 1923 and was completed on October 29, 1924. I wish the clock was in working order, there is a parking problem and it would be nice if a solution was found. It is an ideal city for those who love cultural trips. I couldn’t get enough of watching the city from the castle. Have a nice trip.
