Hatay Archeology Museum has been serving visitors since 2014 in its new building equipped with all the equipment of contemporary museology. The museum contains many important works from the Paleolithic, Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Bronze Age, Hittite, Hellenistic, Roman, Eastern Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman periods, and since the total area of ​​​​the mosaics exhibited is 3250 m2, it is also titled as the museum where the largest mosaics in the world are exhibited. has had.

It has become one of the most important mosaic museums in the world, thanks to the fascination, size, number and quality of its mosaic collection, which is detailed and worked with uniquely colored stones. It also has a large and world-wide collection of coins that were minted in the Antakya mint, covering all periods from the earliest periods.

A part of the rich mosaic collection, discovered through research at Princeton University between 1932 and 1939, is distributed in approximately 20 museums and private collections around the world.
