Siirt Clock Tower is the clock tower located in the Central district of Siirt province. The original tower, located to the east of the Siirt Grand Mosque and built by Alaaddin Pasha in 1905, was demolished over time and the current structure was built in 1975.
The tower, built using two-colored cut stones, is located in the park in front of Siirt Governorship.
The original location of the clock tower was in the garden of Siirt Grand Mosque. (According to legend, when the clock chimed every hour, its sound spread up to a distance of 1 hour.) This tower, built by Alaaddin Pasha in 1905, collapsed over time. Later, in 1975, a new tower was built in Siirt city square, remaining true to the architecture of the original tower, and the clock was mounted on this new tower.

The city with the most clock towers is Istanbul with twenty towers, followed by Izmir with seven towers. In terms of region, the Central Anatolia Region is the region with the most clock towers.
An approximately 250-year-old clock that was previously located in the 889-year-old historical Ulu Mosque in Siirt and has been maintained and repaired by a family for 3 generations.
The historical clock, which was removed from the Grand Mosque in 1974 when the clock tower was built next to the old governor's building on Government Street, was placed in the clock tower named after it.
It is also known as 15 July Democracy Square. This is often used as a meeting point. In addition, concerts are held here and various events organized by the municipality are presented to the people of Siirt.
