Terzibaba Cemetery
When Terzibaba, who died in 1848, was buried in Kaledibi Cemetery, the largest cemetery in Erzincan, the name of the cemetery was changed to Terzibaba Cemetery.
The tomb can be reached by a four-step staircase. At the entrance of the building, there is a raincoat with two columns and a lead-covered roof. The interior of the tomb, which does not contain any decorative elements, consists of a plain cover with a simple, octagonal plan. There are crossed iron cages on the doors and windows of the tomb. The larger of the two sarcophagi in the tomb belongs to Terzibaba, and the other one belongs to one of Terzibaba’s closest disciples. The tomb, which was destroyed by a fire, was rebuilt with reinforced concrete in the 1980s. The cemetery was built of cut stone, which is a feature of Ottoman architecture. The mausoleum and cemetery are frequently visited by the public.
